Spring Birding!

June 3 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

Free

This walk is for people who are interested in learning how to identify common birds by sight and calls. You will likely see and hear migratory birds that are still coming through, along with the many breeding birds that are starting to nest.

Our guide, Ilsa Tucker, is a 15-year-old avid birder, who has been with the Maine Young Birders Club since it was founded in 2017. She has been birding with Merrymeeting Audubon since 2015 (when she was 8!). Ilsa’s favorite time of year is spring migration season when her favorite warblers and other songbirds migrate through Maine. Last year, on May 14 (during the height of bird migration), Ilsa traveled around Cumberland County with other birders and saw 106 species of birds on that one day!
