Solstice Lantern Walk at the Labyrinth in the Woods
December 21, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust and CREA at the Labyrinth in the Woods to celebrate the Winter Solstice – Come together with friends and neighbors to bring light and joy into the longest night of the year!
Guided walks will occur at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm with group singing around the labyrinth. If you appreciate a more solitary celebration of the solstice please enjoy walking the labyrinth between 7-8pm. Children and adults of all ages are encouraged to attend. This event is a non-denominational way to celebrate the changing seasons. Everyone is welcome!
Please bring your own solstice lantern. Make your own at home, or join us for a lantern making event. Details coming soon.
It will be dark! Please bring a camping lantern, your home-made solstice lantern, flashlight or headlamp as well.
It will be cold! Please dress very warmly.
It may be slippery! Please wear appropriate footwear and take this into consideration if you have limited mobility or small children. Sleds are not allowed on the labyrinth for this event.
Parking can be limited. See the map on BTLT’s event page for details.
A few volunteers are needed to set-up and break-down the luminaria, snowshoe the path assuming we have fresh snow, and greet and direct attendees. If you would like to help us with any of these tasks please sign up through this link. Email Jamie at BTLT with any questions you have, .
