Nature Walk: No-insects? No-flowers? No-vember
November 20, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
FreeNo- Flowers? No-Insects? No-vember.
The Preserve is preparing for winter. Fewer colors. Fewer sounds. Less movement. Join Lisa Durrell for a late fall amble enjoying the spell of the woods of this time of year. What are some of the plant and animal adaptations for managing the cold season? What trees can we identify without leaves? What wonderful surprises will we come across? Are there really no flowers and no insects?
Lisa Durrell is an active CREA volunteer, having served on the Board and the Programs Committee. Prior to moving to Maine, she was a field teacher for Massachusetts Audubon and a career math-science teacher. She loves sharing her passion for natural history with others.
Max. 15 participants. No drop-ins please, to keep the group small. Significant snow cancels. Terrain includes slopes and roots.
This program is provided at no cost thanks to the generous donations of CREA Members.
