Nature Walk: It’s More than “Just a Pine Tree”

June 27 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

Hemlock or Balsam Fir?  During this walk with Lisa Durrell, you’ll learn the names of common trees on the Preserve along with their stories.   You will age a tree using its stump sprouts and think about tree adaptations.  Exact topics will be based on what’s happening in the forest, but you can be sure it will be more than just identification.

Lisa Durrell is an active CREA volunteer having served on the Board and the Programs Committee.  Prior to moving to Maine she was a field teacher for Massachusetts Audubon and a career math-science teacher.  She loves sharing her passion for natural history with others.

If the black flies are still around, we may postpone until later in the season!

Max: 12 participants. Masks optional.  Free but registration required – no drop-ins please, to keep the group small.
