Nature and Forest Therapy Walk
June 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Awaken your senses with a slow, mindful walk amidst the woods and waters of Cathance River Nature Preserve as we move into the sights and sounds of summer. Nature and Forest Therapy walks offer an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and connect with oneself. Research documents the significant health benefits of time in nature and the practice of forest bathing can only enhance those benefits.
The walk will open with a short, guided meditation designed to bring you into the present and away from the demands of everyday life. You will then be guided through a sequence of simple invitations to observe a particular aspect of the forest environment. Each invitation has a goal of awakening your senses and quieting the mind. After each invitation, there will be an opportunity to share each other’s observations. There is no right or wrong way to Forest Bathe – all forms of participation and sharing are welcome, including silence.
Join us for two restful hours that will help you experience the natural world in a new way and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The walk will be led by Phoebe, a Forest Therapy guide certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. Free, but registration is required. Limited to six participants.
“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
