Join the Southern Midcoast Forest Playgroup at CREA!
Families will meet at the parking area to the Cathance River Nature Preserve for a morning of exploring the Barnes Leap trail and CREA Ecology Center. We’ll read Snow Birds by Kristen Hall, create our own binoculars, then head out to the Highland trail in search of birds wintering in our neck of the woods.
This is a drop-in program, registration is not required to attend. We will meet rain or shine!
Families do not need to bring anything but themselves and appropriate attire based on location and weather. We do recommend that you bring water and snacks for your family.
The Southern Midcoast Forest Playgroup is a free, parent-facilitated program that aims to provide a space for like aged-children to explore, learn, and interact outside. Their branch will meet every Thursday at 9:30am at different locations in the Southern Midcoast region. Weekly adventures are typically posted the Sunday or Monday before the adventure on their Facebook page.
