Beavers, Blossoms, and Buds: Spring at the Preserve
April 23, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join nature enthusiast Lisa Durrell for an exploration of spring activity in the Cathance River Nature Preserve. After a close look at the beaver mount and artifacts at the Ecology Center, we will hunt for signs of beaver along the Cathance River Trail. En route we hope to see Trailing Arbutus (Mayflower) in bloom and other indications that warmer weather is on its way. No guarantees! Spring has its own timetable in Maine. Come welcome the season in community with others.
Lisa Durrell is an active CREA volunteer having served on the Board and the Programs Committee. Prior to moving to Maine, she was a field teacher for Massachusetts Audubon and a career math-science teacher. She loves sharing her passion for natural history with others. Max. 15 participants. No drop-ins please.
Free, but donations always welcome.
Registration required.
