CREA Board member Jan Smith recently participated in a webinar on how to create a backyard bird photography studio. The webinar, sponsored by Tamron – a manufacturer of camera lenses – featured photographer David Akoubian who describes changes he made to his backyard to draw in birds.
Akoubian used dead branches and trees as props; bird seed, suet, and feeders as food; and flowers and shrubs to provide cover and food. In the webinar, he provides great photography tips about how to get the best photos as birds come and go.
